GTA VI Overview

Grand Theft Auto VI is the next main entry in Rockstar Games long running open world series. The series is known for large cities, story missions, driving, exploration and a world that reacts to the player. Expectations are high because GTA V became one of the most successful games ever and its Los Santos setting stayed popular for years through updates and re-releases.

That history explains the attention, but it does not confirm new features. This guide therefore separates three kinds of information. Confirmed information comes from Rockstar Games official GTA VI page. Not confirmed information is labelled TBA. Rumours are placed in their own sections so readers do not mistake community guesses for announcements.

If you are new to the series, start with the story and map sections below, then check platforms before you plan a purchase. Console availability matters more than hype. A powerful phone cannot run this console launch, and a PC download claim should be ignored until Rockstar announces a PC version in writing on its official channels.

GTA VI Release Date

Rockstar Games official GTA VI page currently shows the wording Coming November 19, 2026. This page uses that exact wording because it is the publisher announcement readers should rely on. Release plans can change in the games industry, so the safest habit is to recheck the official page close to launch instead of trusting screenshots shared on social media.

Do not rely on retailer placeholder dates, leaked posters or countdown sites that do not link to Rockstar. Some store pages use temporary dates for pre-order systems, and those placeholders are often copied as news. When Rockstar changes a date, it updates its official page and Newswire. That is the source APKKASH will use for any future update to this homepage.

Platforms: PS5, Xbox and PC Status

The platforms announced by Rockstar are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Those are the systems listed on the official page, with pre-order links for console editions. No PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version is listed there. Readers still using older consoles should not assume a last generation release will appear later, because Rockstar has not announced one.

PC status is different and must be stated clearly. A PC version is not officially confirmed as of this check. That does not prove a PC version will never happen. It only means there is no confirmed PC date, no official Steam or Rockstar Launcher announcement to cite, and no system requirements to publish. Any site listing minimum RAM, graphics card or processor today is guessing.

For mobile readers, the same rule applies. There is no official Android or iOS version announced. A file called GTA 6 APK on a random website is not an early release. It is a common scam pattern that can lead to malware, fake surveys or stolen accounts. Wait for Rockstar and official console stores.

Setting and Map: Vice City and Leonida

Rockstar says the game heads to the State of Leonida, home to the neon soaked streets of Vice City and beyond. Vice City is the famous fictional city inspired by Miami, returning in a modern setting. Leonida is the wider fictional state inspired by Florida, giving the map room for beaches, highways, swamps, small towns and coastal areas shown in official material.

Officially named places on Rockstar page include Vice City, Ambrosia, Port Gellhorn and Mount Kalaga, with character pages also naming locations linked to Jason, Lucia and their supporting cast. Those names confirm variety beyond one downtown district. They do not confirm total map size, the number of enterable buildings, or whether every trailer location is a freely explorable district at launch.

Rumoured map claims often compare Leonida to two or three times the size of earlier maps. Those numbers are not confirmed by Rockstar and should not be used to plan storage, travel time or completion goals. A useful confirmed takeaway is simpler: Vice City is the headline city, Leonida is the state around it, and Rockstar is presenting both urban and rural Florida inspired spaces.

Protagonists and Story: Lucia and Jason

The confirmed protagonists are Jason and Lucia. Rockstar official synopsis says Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. When an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the State of Leonida, forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.

That synopsis confirms a crime story built around trust, pressure and survival, not a superhero plot or a simple racing game. It does not confirm mission count, endings, character switching rules, romance mechanics or how much time players spend with each lead. Those details should stay in the rumour column until Rockstar explains them directly or reviewers can test the finished game.

The dual lead setup also invites comparison with earlier games, but comparisons should stay honest. GTA V used three playable leads in Los Santos. This new story is presented around two people in Leonida whose choices and mistakes drive the conspiracy. If you want background before launch, read our preserved GTA 5 Complete Guide and then return here for confirmed updates.

Trailers: Watch Only Official Videos

Rockstar page links Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 and hosts the official presentation of the game. Watch trailers only through Rockstar Games official page or the Rockstar Games YouTube channel. This APKKASH page does not upload or re-host trailer video files, and it does not use trailer stills as images. The four images on this page are original supplied graphics with captions stating they are not official art.

Trailers are useful for tone, locations, vehicles and character introductions. They are not a full feature list. A vehicle, outfit, animal or activity appearing for two seconds may be a cutscene detail, a limited mission element or a wider system. Treat trailer breakdowns as informed viewing, not confirmation, unless Rockstar text on the page names the feature clearly.

Gameplay and Features: Confirmed vs Rumours

Confirmed by Rockstar

• Open world setting in Vice City and the State of Leonida.
• Two central protagonists, Jason and Lucia.
• PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
• Release wording: Coming November 19, 2026.
• Official trailers and character and place pages published by Rockstar.

Rumours and Community Expectations

• PC release date and PC graphics settings – not confirmed.
• Exact map size and full district list – not confirmed.
• Online mode structure, subscription needs and launch content – not confirmed.
• Fuel systems, realistic shopping, dynamic weather rules and other simulation claims – not confirmed.
• India price, collector edition contents and bonuses beyond official stores – not confirmed here.

This separation protects readers. Confirmed items can guide a console purchase or a calendar reminder. Rumoured items can guide discussion only. If a rumour later becomes official, APKKASH should move it into the confirmed list with a Rockstar link and a date of the announcement, rather than quietly rewriting old text.

Editions, Price and Pre-Orders

Rockstar page shows edition and pre-order presentation for console stores, including standard and higher edition messaging. APKKASH does not sell the game, does not collect payment and does not guarantee a price. Prices differ by country, store, edition and taxes. Readers in India should check the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or trusted retailers linked from official channels when they are ready to buy.

Fake pre-order sites are a real risk around a launch this large. Warning signs include APK downloads, torrent magnets, crack promises, gift card payment requests, countdown pages asking for phone verification, and domains pretending to be Rockstar. A legitimate pre-order never requires downloading a phone file to reserve a console game.

PC System Requirements

PC system requirements are not announced by Rockstar. This page will not publish invented minimum or recommended processors, graphics cards, memory or storage figures. Community expectation can be discussed in one sentence only: modern open world games are demanding, so a future PC port, if announced, would likely need capable hardware. That sentence is expectation, not a requirement, and should not be used to buy parts today.

The correct PC status is TBA. When Rockstar announces a PC version, the reliable requirement table will come from Rockstar support, Steam or the official store page for that version. Until then, save money, avoid parts purchases based on leaks, and ignore benchmark videos using other games as proof.

GTA VI vs GTA V Comparison

Item	GTA V	GTA VI
Setting	Los Santos and Blaine County	Vice City and State of Leonida
Protagonists	Michael, Franklin and Trevor	Jason and Lucia
Launch Platforms	PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 originally	PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
Release Era	2013	Coming November 19, 2026
PC Status at Console Launch	PC version followed later	TBA – not officially confirmed

The comparison shows why expectations are high and why patience matters. GTA V grew across console generations and PC. The new game is launching on current consoles first, according to Rockstar listing. A later PC history for the series is interesting context, but it is not a promise for this release and must not be presented as a confirmed port window.

Latest Updates and News Timeline

• Official page status: Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 are presented by Rockstar, with character and place sections for Jason, Lucia, Vice City, Ambrosia, Port Gellhorn and Mount Kalaga.
• Pre-order status: Rockstar page links buyers to official console stores. APKKASH does not process orders and marks India price as TBA here.
• PC status: No PC platform, requirements or release date confirmed on the official page at the time of checking.

Future updates should be added newest first, with the announcement date and a Rockstar source link for each entry. Social posts, retailer listings and anonymous leaks should not be added to this timeline as facts. If a claim cannot be linked to Rockstar, it belongs in rumours or should be left out.
